Jacob has a Master of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Denver, an undergraduate degree in Film and Television, and a minor in Art History from the University of Colorado Denver. In college, he has directed three projects: a junior episodic film (Just the Three of Us), a junior thesis film (The Twisted Three), and a senior thesis film (Mute). Outside of school, Jacob is involved in the local Colorado film industry and has worked on various projects including narrative films, commercials, and music videos.

In the Colorado Human Trafficking Council “This is Human Trafficking” campaign Jacob operated the POV (point of view) camera and performed voice acting for the role of Brian. The campaign won the 35th Annual Heartland Regional Emmy Award in 2021.
